Three U. City cross country runners have advanced to the state competition this weekend. Derrick Freeman, junior, Eric Strand, senior, and Benjamin Pomerantz, junior, were in the top 15 individuals at the district meet Nov. 2, automatically qualifying them for the state meet Nov. 9. The boys varsity team came in fourth place at the district meet. The top two teams go to state.
