After a Saturday filled with school pride, football, and the beats of the marching band, the sounds of laughter and music filled the gym the night of the circus-themed Homecoming dance.
“The theme really brought out the bold and enthusiastic side of everyone at the dance” said sophomore Monet Grant.
Entering the gymnasium under an arch of colorful balloons gave attendants a little taste of the circus motif.
“The decorations were so cool and colorful,” said sophomore Jordan Kennedy. “I guess it’s just the little kid in me that liked the theme.”
There was a lot of action behind the scenes by Student Council members to make sure that the Homecoming dance was a success.
“Without Mr. Cox’s help this year it was very stressful but we pulled it off in the end,” said senior class president Otis Howell, Jr. “It was just good to see every one having a great time.”
It was obvious that Student Council put a lot of effort into the Homecoming dance. Senior Damesha Mitchell was very proud of everyone who helped put it together.
“It was the best homecoming yet. They had good music and everyone had a blast” she said.
At the end of the night, everyone had at least one memorable moment that they will never forget.
“I had a great time at the dance until I lost my brand new earrings, but nothing could ruin the great time that I had that night” said junior Jackie Judy.
