Among the hustle and bustle of students milling about, Daniel Williamson enthuses about his favorite group, the British Club. He introduces his fellow students to an exciting subject of which he is well-versed, promoting the culturally-enriching pastime of enjoying British films and literature.
Surrounding Williamson are students and faculty who have come to experience the club fair in the main cafeteria, an event which celebrates and promotes the clubs and organizations of the school. “The club fair was jam-packed with potential members,” Williamson said. “We enticed a good amount of interested students, many of which I am excited to make acquaintances with.”
A popular showcase at the event was the presentation of the Robotics Club’s mechanical apparatus, named Serenity. The robot, controlled by Marquise Williams, junior, was seen using its automated arm to fling flying plastic discs across the cafeteria. Around the demonstration stood students, enthralled by the spectacle and excited with the prospect of possibly engaging in the hijinks.
“The club fair as a whole is a spectacular event that brings everyone’s interests together,” said Williamson.
