2022 graduation returns to normal
Despite the past two virtual school years ending with nontraditional graduations, U. City held its Class of 2022’s graduation at the Chaifetz Arena where 147 seniors were finally able to experience normalcy.
Once seated, seniors Yaniya Battle and Albert Smith gave their speeches, bringing Dr. Sharonica Hardin Bartley, superintendent, to tears. Their speeches moved the crowd, similar to the speech given by Dr. Michael Peoples, principal, as he expressed his admiration for the seniors and his gratefulness to have started his journey at U. City with the Class of 2022.
One by one, seniors received their diplomas, moved their tassels from left to right and threw their caps into the air to celebrate the end of their high school career. Congratulations to the Class of 2022 graduates!
