Computers on, log-ins ready and College Bound students are gaining followers by the minute. They aren’t on Twitter or Instagram; instead, they are making college profiles on collegegreenlight.com.
In order to compete amongst the best of academic prestige in high schools across the world, these students are taking early action to add schools to their college profiles, and emailing admission offices pitching accolades.
Though most of the colleges on their “wish list” exceed their GPA’s and test scores, they are still determined to work harder and improve. It may be senior year for these College Bound students, but with the ACT around the corner, they’re still studying harder and hoping to meet certain acceptance requirements.
“If I apply early then maybe colleges will work with me and look past my score,” said senior Devonye Clerk. “It’s senior year. I really hope this will be my last time taking the ACT; I’m praying for a 25.”
There’s a school out there for everyone, College Bound always says. Whether it’s public, private, urban, or rural, their main goal is to have a 100 percent success rate sending students to college.
“The college process may be tough, but with the right mindset and the right tools, raising a score to get in the school of your choice is possible,” said senior coach Debbie Greenberg.
